Veterinary Parasitology
Published in Paperback by Blackwell Science Inc (15 January, 1996)
Average review score:

Student perspectiveThis book is an excellent companion for student and practitioner alike (although it is probably a little specialised for pet owners with no medical grounding ) . It is written in concise form , and has an excellent layout for easy reference . One of its real strengths is its use of pictures , which really illustrate written points beautifully . The sections at the back also have tables and technique descriptions for those moments when rapid descisive answers are needed . In short , a superbly written book that people have obviously put a lot of thought into . I am sure it will be a career long collegue for anyone who purchases it !

Fifteen Years Later It Could of Been MeFinding this book is a gift to all SIDS parents, especially mothers who have lost their child to SIDS. It touched me so much that I felt like it was my life being told, I photo-copied pages to friends and family to say thank you after 15 years of silence. Sharon wrote it, but we have all felt it. Thank You.

Whispering Brook Series
Published in Paperback by Herald Pr (May, 1997)
Average review score:

Amish EnchantedThis was a really great series because it gives a full portrayal of Amish life. The author is Amish, and can speak from her own experience when she talks about Amish life, which makes it more realistic and enjoyable to read. All throughout the books the characters say some Pennsylvania German words here and there amongst the English words, and it's entertaining to see them translated. After I visited Lancaster, PA it was nice to read these books and be reminded of my trip. I'd recommend these books for anyone who's interested in the Amish and their way of life. These books are also exciting because the author is very good at portraying a character's exact emotions, which makes them easy to read.

Tales drawn from the Anishinabeg oral traditionCompiled and edited by Anne Dunn, Winter Thunder: Retold Tales is a compendium of forty imaginative tales drawn from the Anishinabeg oral tradition. Taken as a whole, this anthology of engaging stories offers keen and loving insights into the mythic origins of the natural and supernatural worlds around and within the reader. Living on the Leech Lake Reservation near Cass Lake, Minnesota, Anne Dunn is an Anishinabeg grandmother and elder story-teller who has provided a compelling and invaluable contribution to Native American folklore studies. Also very highly recommended are her previous books: Grandmother's Gift (Holy Cow! Press) and When Beaver Was Very Great (Midwest Editions).

Winterwise: A Backpacker's Guide
Published in Paperback by Adirondack Mountain Club (February, 1997)
Average review score:

Winter Walking BibleThis book ranks up there with the Really Cool Backcountry Ski Book as an invaluable winter camping reference. It covers all of the bases without getting carried away with technical discussions. There is a great deal of information in this little book, and the authors style is humorous without being irreverant.

Word Biblical Commentary Vol. 38b, Romans 9-16 (dunn), 499pp
Published in Hardcover by Word Publishing (29 November, 1988)
Average review score:

Excellent CommentaryThese two volumes are well worth the cost. Dunn gives an excellent presentation of the background and issues surrounding the book of Romans. While clearly and accurately presenting all options, he presents the case for his own view point. He provides many helpful insights into the flow of thought and argument of the book. We used this text in seminary and it was very helpful.

Words of Blood
Published in Paperback by Pocket Books (April, 2002)
Average review score:

The Best Short stories Yet !!This a collection of short stories involving the Warhammer 40,000 universe. If you hav'ent checked out Warhammer 40,000 or any black library publications...You are sure missing the boat!! This is the best collection of short stories to date(late 2002). There are several stories that have become full novels on their own. Especially, the Short story "Chains of command" about the passing of the torch to a new captain of the Ultramarines 4th company; Uriel Ventris. The short story picks up in the novels "Nightbringer" and "Warriors of Ultramar". There are several other GREAT short stories, Such as the title short story "Words of Blood" about following orders in the face of chaos cultists lead by a vile being called the "Manskinner". And, for all you "Eisenhorn" fans, there is "Missing in Action". A story about some strange murders and soilders who have been abandonned. Overall a great book.

The World Turned Upside Down: Children of 1776
Published in Paperback by Tidewater Pub (February, 2001)
Average review score:

One family who actually lived during this tumultuous timeThe years of the American Revolution were a time of turmoil in the colonial state of Maryland in general, and Annapolis, its capital city, in particular. The World Turned Upside Down: Children Of 1776 is the story of one family who actually lived during this tumultuous time when it seemed that there comfortably little world was turned upside down. From the Annapolis "tea party" and the burning of the ship "Peggy Stewart", to the war's end, the five Sands children and their parents were witness and participants to events resulting in the creation of the United States of America. Very highly recommended for family, school, and community library collections, The World Turned Upside Down is quite expertly written by Ann Jensen for young readers in the fourth and fifth grades, with her lively and historically accurate text being superbly enhanced with the artwork of Marcy Dunn Ramsey, a section of notes, an extensive glossary, and a detailed index.
